Janine E. Skerry has curated exhibitions, lectured, and written widely on the topics of silver, ceramics, and dining in England and America. She holds degrees from Yale University; the Winterthur Program and the University of Delaware; and Boston University. In addition to serving as a specialist consultant for many museums, Janine has been employed at the Essex Institute; the Peabody Museum (Salem); the Yale University Art Gallery; Historic Deerfield; and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, where she served as curator of ceramics and glass (1993–2009), curator of metals (2009–2016), and senior curator of metals (2016–2022). Her numerous publications include articles, catalog essays, and books. She retired from full-time curatorial work in June 2022 to pursue independent research, consulting, and publishing on her favorite subjects. Janine loves everything to do with setting a stylish table and has never been known to refuse a cup of tea.
